TO MODS & DUers: What can we do to add DU capacity for traffic?
I would be willing to donate at a higher level, and I suspect that after this slam, a lot of new people will be staying.

Or, if possible, can some techie people donate some server capacity?

3. Let's take all the money that we'd donate to Katrina victims and Democrats
and put it all together for some new servers.

5. It's running pretty smoothly now, IMO...
Sure, no avatars or search function, but the pages are loading properly and quickly.

9. Communication is critical to getting these guys out--get house in order
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 10:15 AM by yurbud
when company is coming over.

Part of why conservatives got as far as they did was because the Left didn't take communication seriously enough for too long.

We have made great strides in this in the last couple of years, but still don't grasp that it's essential to everything else.

It doesn't matter how good your ideas are if no one is listening, or worse, when they give you a listen, they can't figure out what the hell you are saying or your servers are overloaded so they can't get the full picture.

Even if we all donate every penny we have to disaster relief, people won't connect the dots entirely if we aren't getting a message out.

I scrounged around the internet for a while looking for the kind of info that is readily available here. Don't discount the value of what this is and can be doing in the struggle for democracy.

11. having a higher priority doesn't mean stop others all together
How far would Bush have gotten without Fox, talk radio, and compliant networks and newspapers?

The internet is our only medium.

12. On a technical note, is it possible to network in remote servers?
that wouldn't cost much if someone has an old PC in their house.
