Are you all set to come? If you can't make it, can you spread the word in your community to let people know about it? Cool. See you there. This is what PDA is doing all weekend there. You should try to come with us: http://www.pdamerica.org/articles/events/sept2005/index.php#rally

There are a half zillion good hotels in DC. Do a Travelocity search based on location, i.e. near the capitol building, near the white house etc., and you'll find something. Quickly, tho. I think a lot of places will be full soon.

Currently working with some members of Code Pink (Tuscon) trying to find them housing, etc.
We live about 90 minutes west of D.C. - in VA. If anyone needs info on housing, flights, etc. please PM me.
I'm also spreading the word to some "closer-in" D.C. friends -trying to set up a housing network for those who want to come but can't afford hotel rooms in D.C.

I'm not sure I can afford it and give to hurricane relief. I'm trying to figure it all out and I'll keep you posted. Cross your fingers for me that the universe aligns. If I make it you gonna buy me a round for my birthday (9/29)?

...while I am certainly against the war, I think that the issue that needs to be addressed is why our government placed issues, including the war, above the protection of its citizens.
The incompetence of this administration in general should be the focus. Homeland security, foreign policy, war planning, disaster planning...you name it, they've fucked it up.

I want to see it out-attended ten times over!
I was going to make a day trip out of the Saturday rally. But if I did that, I'd miss the concert and the DU after-party. And if I left work early enough, I could be in town in time for that other DU function on Friday night. I found a hotel a mile and half from Union Station, which is good because if gas prices get any higher, it will be cheaper to get there by train!

I had a travel plan set up, but I suddenly had to move 100 miles away, so my plan is void. If anyone from central Delaware (Dover area) is going to DC and willing to take passengers, shoot me a private message. Thanks!

I can't do DC, but am going to the one here in Seattle. My daughter is going with me, and I think my husband is going also. So, if you can't make it to DC, consider joining one where you live.
