i'm specifically needin' to know abouit the fuel, the fuel handlers and the fuel escort are they ok can they go with us as well as the tractor for relief, and the tractor for water.

also the status of 528 personnel, they're .. they're trying to find out.. whether 235 personnel will be movin with the 528 or returning to our original command groups.

that fuel is not.. fuel pump.. the pump is only pumping about 5 gallons of fuel per minute

Many boats were sent out and all came back empty. People that were found didn't want to come out but there weren't many.

All it would take is one person lighting up a cig and there goes a LOT people getting killed. For that matter, a frigging SPARK of anything can cause problems. Turning a car ignition is enough to blow things up...it happened in east TX when a family tried to escape from a gas leak on their land. Both teens were killed.

i hear NOTHING about anyone looking after the environment.

Pelican JOCC: We have had a search and rescue called in:
Woman, her daughter (Ms Jones) and 4 children located at {2 separate addresses given}

PJ:Ms Jones has said they have no transportation or food.

EOC: Where would you like us take them? We have no where to keep evacuees here


PJ: I understand that the Convention Center in downtown NO is still the evacation center. Can you take them down there?

EOC: That is the only place that I know of that is still taking
people in the area.

the people working now have supplies, support, they're happier, less shocked and frustrated sounding. things seem to be getting done (finally).
there is still a lot of confusion but some things seem to be working.
i've heard one hundred or more rescues today.
hotels, houses, rooftops.

there seems to be food and water around, and enough of it.

in the last say, four hours listening is tolerable, easy and not so horrifying, everyone involved seems more cheerful. "have a nice flight" is common.

i even heard a request for mental health professionals (whew!)

auracat is so relieved by the big change today she's about to cry.
