The Coward's numbers will get a lot worse soon, very soon.
His performance in the cabinet meeting press conference indicated they are truly panicked.
Rove's own polls must be horrible.

by the disaster don't have phones or electric so it's a little hard for them to vote.

7. Here is how they are playing so that it will happen: |
|
the aid was withheld but who ever it was responsible, it does not matter because in rides the cowboy coward on a white horse and the aid suddenly starts to flow. The way they are playing it is it took the president to finally visit the area to get the aid started. Total Bull Shit but that is the way he will come out of this shit smelling like a Texas Rose.

blaming the local mayor and the governer. Even a Republican who criticized the effort two days ago is now saying something completely different. Rove is working overtime on this... sick bastards.

13. Keep it in perspective - normally the 'bounce' from events like this |
|
takes approval up to 80-90%.
There was a poll that came out a couple days ago that his approval was at 55%.
That is a very bad sign for the busheviks, and don't worry, even that little nudge will not likely last.

20. Are you referring to the ABC poll? |
|
That poll asked if people blamed him for that. I don't believe it was an job approval poll.
No, I think his numbers will plummet. I doubt that they will even conduct a poll.

14. It will improve gradually after the initial shock wears off. |
|
Then apathy will take over, it always does. But I don't believe his numbers will ever get much better than they were before this catastrophe any time soon. Perhaps before the next presidential election all the drum beating and flag waving will show a hiccup.

15. Shrub will appoint a "blue ribbon" commission. |
|
They will "investigate" and shrub will be exonerated. As the dead are recovered, all of the anger (for many people) will be directed elsewhere.

16. Actually, my prediction is |
|
he'll get an initial bump, just because we do rally around the president in times of crisis, and then he'll continue his slide. As the reality and the magnitude of this disaster become increasingly visible, his inaction will highlight his weakness and ineptitude. Plus, the continuing gas prices will make those normally supportive become suspicious of Bush and his corporate servitude. And the wingnuts hate to be on the side of a loser. They like the "whup ass" macho attitude. As that's peeled away, they'll turn on Bush. It's already happening. Fewer "W" stickers. And an overall tone in our country that this administration is too political, too secretive, and too driven by personal greed. Plus, the Republican party is facing a split between their old-liner fiscal conservatives and the Santorum wing of fundamentalists. Their unification is over. The canny Congressmen can smell the blood. They'll turn on Bush to try and save their own careers. Given time, Republicans always eat their own. Katrina has brought out the conservative cannibals.

Not at all like 9/11, but it'll go up. Might come back down eventually, but in the near term, he's bound to get a positive bounce from the "support the president in times of crisis" meme.

I've seen your posts on this. I am not very good at predicting the future.... so we will see.
Yes people usually do rally around the leader in times of trouble even if the fear they have is of him-something like that.
We'll see.
Two mod mod mod Repubs at a picnic this weekend went off on W unprovoked.
