What I learned from Scotties Press Conference, By Ioo
We are fucked; this administration refuses to ask the hard questions about why the response was so bad. When asked “Are we prepared to protect the American people” his answer was basically Yes, just for the love of god please forget the last few weeks.

I also learned that the BILLIONS that has been spent on creating the Department of Homeland Security was a HUGE waste of cash, because we are in fact less safe then we have ever been.

I leaned that no matter the cost, the tax cuts will be pushed by this administration. It could care less about money, as long as it is not theirs.

I learned that there will be a time to play the blame game, but it is not now, I think it will be sometime in 2009 or so.

I also learned that this administration cares for those affected by this hurricane, especially Trent Lott.

Hearing that press conference to be honest made me scared, real fear. Before I was just pissed and angry, but now I am scared. I go to DC everyday to work, and it is clear that this government CAN NOT, and WILL NOT help you. You are not safe, your safety has been sold to make Bush and the gang rich.
