"Direct threats require decisive action." - Dick Cheney |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 02:00 PM by JimmyJazz
Um...yeah...about that... :eyes:
BTW - is he still alive?
On edit: This is an historical quote - not a quote as a result of the hurricane.

2. False alarm, Cheney. Go back to sleep. |
|
He probably says things like that whenever he opens his eyes in the morning.

5. I think it was an old quote actually. I haven't seen him or his wife |
|
since the hurricane hit.
All I can say is that it's a good thing words are calorie free because the Repukes have had to eat a lot of them lately.

3. Threat? Threat implies nothing has occurred yet. |
|
Earth to Dick - the hurricane already hit. It's been in the papers.

7. I was looking for the quote with him scaring the pants off the people |
|
in the Town Hall meeting where he said we were going to get hit and get hit hard if the Democrats take over. I found this one instead. It's historical, but oh so priceless. :-)

...never mind.
It is priceless though. Nothing says "decisive action" like taking 4 days to respond to a natural disaster and not preparing FEMA, etc. in advance.

4. Al Franken reported today "Thank god they rescued Cheney." Al said |
|
Cheney had been rescued from Jefferson country, which is the location of the undisclosed location.
Joking of course, Al went on to say he was rescued by Sean Penn, who is truly, in real life, doing hands-on rescue in New Orleans with his own boat.

6. Cheney did act divisively - he went shopping to boost the economy |
|
I mean a $2.9 million home will REALLY boost the economy! (This definitely beats Condi's shoe purchase and Spamalot tix!) :eyes:
