Don't you just HATE those bridges? I think they're such an embarrassment for Alaskans. Don and Ted need to get their heads out of their butts, and people in the Lower 48 need to realize that not many Alaskans wanted these projects. I for one would be more than happy to give up the money for the Knik Arm crossing and the bridge to nowhere if it would go towards rebuilding housing for the poor people of New Orleans. I'm so afraid they're going to be left out and driven from their homes forever, and it makes me very sad.

I have to wonder about the people who pick the "excellent" option. I don't get it. Even if you always have and always will be way up the butt of Shrub, you still have to admit that he dropped the ball on this one. That is obvious to the most conservative members of my family.

3. 19.1% give him a pass - I think this is the true base number. |

This is positive affirmation of what I have felt since 2000 - most americans are not pigs. We have been robbed and looted. And murdered. But bush supporters are not the majority in this country.

5. Alaska now realizes that if anything nasty happens up there |
|
A giant tsunami or earthquake, say -- they're on their own. Dubya and Co. probably can't even find their state on a map!

Bush probably thinks we're an island since we're always off in a little square on the side of the maps with Hawaii -- if we show up at all.

but to be honest with you, we get winds topping 100 mph in certain parts of Anchorage almost every winter, and we have Native villages in western Alaska that are falling into the sea, but nobody seems to care too much except the people who live there. Republicans are Republicans wherever you are ... and ours would rather build bridges to nowhere than move Shishmaref further inland, it would appear.
