1. Is it possible to be a bigger friggin Idiot! Many stayed because they
couldn't afford to leave, you asshole.

Only someone living in Republican LaLa Land could believe that crap.

3. What a warm-hearted human being*
I mean, you have people who don't heed those warnings and then put people at risk as a result of not heeding those warnings. There may be a need to look at tougher penalties on those who decide to ride it out and understand that there are consequences to not leaving.

Why didn't santorum drive his Godly ass down there and help these people out himself?

* human being, in this case, is using the loosest definition of the word.

4. Some aren't leaving now because
they think they will be charged for the rescue. They couldn't afford to leave in the first place and now are afraid they will get a bill from Uncle Same for the helicopter ride out.

Santorum is an ass with no heart.

11. So The Hospital In NO Were Negligent?
Hundreds were stranded in those hospitals and the decision was not to move them since the HAD NO PLACE TO GO. I heard an administrator of Tulane...the private hosptial...who said they tried to find hospitals outside the area to take some of their more critical cases as the storm approached, but had little chance.

Seems so simple to tell a metro area of 1.5 million people to "get" and they should just vanish over night. Some of us who have been listening to the local reports and reading the emails from survivors are seeing that most people who wanted to leave the city had a precious 24-48 hour time window to do it. For those with cars, credit cards and a place to go, the highways were all clogged, but at least people were moving. For the rest, if they couldn't make arrangements by late Saturday afternoon...when the planes stopped flying, trains stopped leaving the city and busses stopped operating, they were stuck to ride out the storm.

Rectorum, as usual, needs to open his pie hole where it's not needed nor has any merit.

13. Easy for a rich white guy to say
Oh yes they should have left. How, you ignorant asshole?

HS/FEMA Didn't even try to evacuate the hospitals. That's what happened in NO. 100,000 HOUSEHOLDS had not transportation. What the fuck were they supposed to do?
