I don't ever want to hear another Freeper complain about liberal Hollywood
There are individual celebs giving out time and personal money and food.. far more than a lot of the mega-corporations...

4. Didn't Sean Penn take a boat down there and start picking people up?
How is it a civilian like Penn can get down there, but the NG is still struggling to "rescue" people.

I think I'd rather get rescued by Sean Penn. At least I know I'd be getting out soon.

Sean Penn's rescue bid sinks
From correspondents in New Orleans
05sep05

EFFORTS by Hollywood actor Sean Penn to aid New Orleans victims stranded by Hurricane Katrina foundered badly overnight, when the boat he was piloting to launch a rescue attempt sprang a leak.

Penn had planned to rescue children waylaid by Katrina's flood waters, but apparently forgot to plug a hole in the bottom of the vessel, which began taking water within seconds of its launch.
The actor, known for his political activism, was seen wearing what appeared to be a white flak jacket and frantically bailing water out of the sinking vessel with a red plastic cup.

When the boat's motor failed to start, those aboard were forced to use paddles to propel themselves down the flooded New Orleans street.

Asked what he had hoped to achieve in the waterlogged city, the actor replied: "Whatever I can do to help."

With the boat loaded with members of Penn's entourage, including a personal photographer, one bystander taunted the actor: "How are you going to get any people in that thing?"

Travolta jets in aid to hurricane victims
Actor John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston have delivered five tonnes of food to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, in their private jet.

Travolta, who has a pilot's licence, and his wife flew to Baton Rouge, carrying the food supplies for the evacuees and a quantity of tetanus vaccines for the rescue workers who have volunteered in the area.

The couple visited various areas of New Orleans, speaking with rescue workers and evacuees in shelters in the city.

According to the BBC, Travolta said: "What we've seen in the shelters is wonderful, because people are being taken care of."

Amongst the other celebrities who visited the affected areas are Oprah Winfrey, Macy Gray and Sean Penn.

6. Celebrities can say whatever they want to. They were *THERE*.
Freepers and their king were off playing golf or drinking beer or whatever it is they do.

I don't see fucking Rush Limbaugh showing up with five tons of food.

9. I guess you don't want to hear Nazis complaining about Liberal Jews, either
Well, it's not going to happen, for Busheviks ARE Nazis, just Kinder and Gentler Ones who don't yet have the "wink and nod" to go out and live their murderous fantasies.

Besides, when did a Nazi or a Bushi ever care what a Liberal thought, anyway?

16. Then you better not visit E's Watch With Kristen message board
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 05:20 PM by Liberalynn
there's a bunch of them on the Message board pounding on Kayne West and saying their "sick and tired of celebrities telling them how to donate their money when the celebrities are so "rich." They are also insulting any other celebrity or poster who dares try to to even hint at Dumbya's ineptitude in handling the crisis. They equate criticizing him to criticizing the rescuers. I went there to visit in order to try and take a little reality break but what I saw there made me sicker.

Clarification it is not E or Kristin posting this nonsense so don't start lambasting them, the ones doing this are visiting feeper posters who are members of the public not E.

No one is criticizing the people who are in their risking their lives to help others. Just the incompetent butt heads in Fema and the Whitehouse who kept them from doing their jobs sooner.

Also celebs are damned if they do and damned if they don't by these people. If they give money then "they are just doing it for free publicity", if they don't give "then they are selfish rich bastards."

True celebs are not "saints" but they are human with bad and GOOD traits just like every single one of us.

Darn it freepers make me sick.
