13. I didn't know whether to be outraged or laugh with glee at
this manuever. How stupid can you get? Do they not know the depth of the public's anger? Saying, "I'm going to look into this personally," as if you were not in any way associated with the fuckup was not the correct response, IMHO. I think a lot of Americans know where the buck should stop.

20. I'm sure that Nixon looked into what went wrong with Watergate too
He can't seriously believe that the American Public would accept this? Is one of the adults going to telll him later that he and his actions or lack thereof are going to be a big part in an investigation?

23. This sends the message that he was faultless, and will find those at fault
These people frame issues so fast it makes your head spin.

And there is a good chance the moderates of this country will believe another lie without even realizing they've been lied to.

I'm so old, I remember what "conflict of interest" means...

25. How can someone who absolutely, without a doubt
caused the problem effectively investigate what went wrong?

Has any of the talking heads that announced this even questioned this?

This gets worse and worse.

27. Bush couldn't lead a $2 hooker to his tent with a $100 bill
Bush again will delegate the task as he even delegates shining his shoes and putting on his undies in the morning. Of course he'll delegate it to a political operative who will fabricate the most politically favorable scenario, while stonewalling on the release of any documents. And if we uncover these lies and fabrications of the investigation, Bush will also duck the blame on that and announce that he will lead an investigation of the investigation and engage in further delegating.
