Your 2006 Democratic Primary assignment (Part #1)
Introduce resolutions at your local precinct conventions in 2006 calling for the defunding and decommissioning of both the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Association.

The tragedy in New Orleans and across the Mississippi delta proves that neither of these agencies are of any further use to America.

Thank you.

1. FEMA was a great agency till this clown got his hands on it...
Hillary's proposal to split it off from Homeland Security is the right thing to do...after that we are going to have to get rid of the bunglers in there now. Given Bush's inability to admit a mistake I anticipate M. Brown will be there till the end. Just hope to God nothing else like this occurs in the next 3 years.

2. I still say we should push for the whole enchilada
Let FEMA mount an aggressive defense of its own necessity in our government as a relief and disaster management agency. Then let them throw any incompetent administrators to the wolves.

Republicans won't call for FEMA's demise. Maybe we should.

3. I will not vote for anyone who isn't willing to pledge to vote
for Bush's impeachment, that's what's important, the rest can wait.
