Stealth gasoline tax = $3.20.9 per gallon reg. unleaded gasoline
Each family vehicle in America now costs, at least, an extra thousand dollars more per year to operate, than you were paying this time a year ago. If your family is like most families today, providing for your family requires two vehicles, so that's two thousand dollars a year out of you pocket. You will probably spend another thousand dollars in the coming year, paying for the addiditional costs on consumable items you'll buy, due to the price of shipping those goods, being driven up by the cost of diesel fuel. The cost of heating your house this winter, will go up another thousand dollars due to the rising cost of heating oil and natural gas.

So a family of two, or more, can expect to lay out an additional four thousand dollars in the year ahead. The net result is the same thing to your pocketbook, as it would be if Bush and the GOP had just raised your taxes four thousand dollars a year. The oil companies and the GOP have sneaked around and indirectly RAISED YOUR TAXES, but that isn't the worst of it!

When you pay your taxes you support your country's ability to govern and protect it's citizens, from things like 9/11 and natural disasters. You support your kids schools and local and national infrastructure, your fire fighters and police. You support the state and federal troops when you pay your taxes. So even though people don't like paying taxes, we All must, if we wish to live in a country and benefit from all the good and necessary things our tax moneys provide for the good of our families and for the greater good of the entire nation.

Bush and the GOP, are letting the oil companies raise every family in America's cost of living, by four thousand dollars a year. The bottom line is exactly the same, whether the oil companies are taking your four thousand dollars, or Bush's government is now taxing you an extra four thousand dollars a year. The oil company's stock holders are getting rich, but the country is going to hell, because the oil companies are getting the four thousand extra dollars and your country and your family are getting nothing for your money.

The GOP wants to give still more tax cuts to the rich, in addition to the three huge tax cuts that Bush has already given the top 2% of the most wealthy people in America. Bush even gave the oil companies a big tax break in his "Energy Bill" and after he did, the oil companies raised the price of gasoline another sixty cents a gallon. The GOP wants to spend huge sums of money fighting a war that was never necessary to begin with. The war in Iraq has also cost Gold Star Mothers Like Cindy Sheehan almost two thousand sons and daughters in the past two years.

What do we get for the increasing combined taxes we've been paying? We get 9/11, the disaster in New Orleans, Dead Soldiers, Lies, Cover-ups, Fake Investigations, More Deaths, Excuses, Fake Morality, Grand Theft, High Crimes, Treason, Taxation Without Representation, Deadly Unacceptable Results and MORE LIES! Bush and Cheney's oil company buddies still get the extra four thousand dollars(Stealth Gasoline Tax)and you and your country get screwed again!

I say to my congress people, DEATH to the Death tax and Death to the Oil Companies Stealth Gasoline taxes...

Unacceptable Results = Intolerable acts!

2. I'm still floored by people who are complaining about how much
it costs to fill up their gas tank. So many still have absolutely no clue that the cost of EVERYTHING is being affected and the only people who will come out on top are the corporate looters.

My family is living pay check to pay check at the moment because of decisions we made (tuition, type of house) and unforeseen issues (every appliance in the house breaking down as well as the 11 year old car). But at some point we will be beneficiaries of a repealed estate tax. EXCEPT we realize full well that taxes are not a burden from which to be relieved but an investment in our nation's future. Count us in as a family who could benefit in the short term but understands the wisdom in the long term.

Death to the Estate Tax!

Death to Oil Robber Barons!

4. Corporate Looting when the country is so insecure, is criminal.
Corporate Looters and their enablers do not support the troops or the country. The oil barons, bushco and the super bankers, are ungrateful, selfish, traitors.

7. gas rose higher before Katrina
I think most of us can understand the supply shock factor caused by Katrina.
The problem is, the oil gouging started a couple months ago!
Oil companies are reaping (raping?) record profits - this isn't opinion, this is a fact. Chimply is from oil. Do the math.
Some analysts are going around saying the price will come down eventually. To where? $2.99?
Now the chimp is worried about his precious "death tax" not being repealed. This will cost the fed $400B (B!!) in lost revenue. Who will pay for this??
Now the pukes have their greedy eyes on the "new, better than ever" Gulf Coast. Better because we got rid of all that riff-raff - you know, more room for Trent Lott's brand new front porch.
My problem is that I find this board a good release for my anger about the situation, but nothing changes. I'm preaching to the choir.

9. I knew if Bush won in November that gas would go up past $3.00
Bush has about as much compassion for working America as he has shown for the people in New Orleans. ZERO Compassion W Bush!
