FEMA Chief Waited Until After Storm Hit
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=1102744&CMP=OTC-RSSFeeds0312

"The government's disaster chief waited until hours after Hurricane Katrina had already struck the Gulf Coast before asking his boss to dispatch 1,000 Homeland Security employees to the region and gave them two days to arrive, according to internal documents."

2. Game. Set. Match.
Don't need any more proof than that. Brownie dropped the ball and his boss -- who appointed him despite his blatant lack of qualifications -- was strumming a guitar on vacation.

8. Remember San Diego fires. 2003? Another fed. agency dropped the ball
It was the Forestry Service that could have stopped the fire between 5:30 and 6:00 pm on the night it began near Ramona--when it was a little brush fire. But, Forestry ordered their pilots back a hair after 5:30, saying that policy prevented Forestry employees from acting past the official hour of 5:30.

I'm beginning to sense a pattern.

16. I'm not so sure its a pattern as it is an objective
and that is to create as much confusion as possible. The loss of life is irrelevant. The state of confusion is what is necessary to steal, and to cover up. Its what any good criminal would do.

9. Boom!
and he did it with a total lack of urgency and "Brown said that among duties of these employees was to "convey a positive image" about the government's response for victims." Holy crap!

11. He even called it a "near catastrophe"
Even if you accept that New Orleans missed the brunt of it and the problems there didn't come until later, tell the residents of Gulfport or Biloxi or the smaller towns in Mississippi and Louisiana that have been wiped off the map that this was a near catastrophe.

15. Holy fucking crap. They begin TRAINING after the hurricane has hit?
They receive disaster-response training WHILE the disaster is unfolding?

:wtf:

Gitmo these motherfuckers. Every last one of them.

These are the people, this "administration," who said flat-out that electing John Kerry would place us in danger.

They all deserve to be clapped in irons. Seriously, in this era where citizens can be rounded up and disappeared, these bastards should be thrown in jail IMMEDIATELY. We'll sort their cases out later. Right now, lock 'em up, every last one of 'em.

... The government's disaster chief waited until hours after Hurricane Katrina had already struck the Gulf Coast before asking his boss to dispatch 1,000 Homeland Security employees to the region and gave them two days to arrive, according to internal documents.

(snip)

Knocke said the 48-hour period suggested for the Homeland employees was to ensure they had adequate training. "They were training to help the life-savers," Knocke said.

Employees required a supervisor's approval and at least 24 hours of disaster training in Maryland, Florida or Georgia. "You must be physically able to work in a disaster area without refrigeration for medications and have the ability to work in the outdoors all day," Brown wrote.
