What will they call this era in the future? |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 07:30 PM by ck4829
Thousands of years from now, a family will come out of their cave and start a fire to warm themselves and look up at the sky and see the stars and old satellites and space junk also moving throughout the sky.
And they will stories about the past. About a nation that was thought to be the most powerful in the world, but this nation could not handle a domestic crisis and their dependence on oil proved to be their downfall.
What will they call this era?
Who will they talk about?

The story of how Bush and his handlers destroyed a once-great nation.
Let's hope we're finally ready to write an epilogue: How the people rose up and took their country back from those who tried to kill it.

9. This era will be called "the past" |
|
:-)
They will tell stories about how god created the world in 7 days, and is only 400 years old... And all the evidence of older phenomena will be discounted, as god created carbon dating too to fool people who have flawed evidence-based decision capabilities, that those people will be proven wrong, and any intelligence from the past will be forgotten for the stupidest propaganda from the present.

Probably the terror era or perhaps:
"The Era in which our God George W. Bush erraticated the heathenous vermin of sodomites and liberals to launch a new era of rightiousness and mental cleanliness in preparation for the impending rapture."

that is uninhabitable. Makes you wonder if all these other "useless planets" started out with a glutonous society that killed it and rendered it useless?

Maybe when this time comes, a rat will be talking to a cockroach "Did you hear about the idiot who became President back in 2000 and the people in that country just sat there and let it happen?"

16. (the beginning of) The Age of Totalitarianism |
|
Although I wonder if there will be any honest historians left un-Gulagged to call it what it is/was.
In either case, freedom has left Imperial Amerika (though it is still possible to pretend) and now flickers more dimly than at any time since 1776, I think.
If Europe goes Bushist in the next 40 years, an entirely possible outcome, than I think the Human Race is headed for the pre-1776 era, when there was no nation that was free anywhere.
