Several Republican commentary on Katrina
Moral values alert!

Former First Lady Barbara Bush (From Yahoo): "Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this, this is working very well for them"

Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Penn. Priority #1: "I mean, you have people who don't heed those warnings and then put people at risk as a result of not heeding those warnings. There may be a need to look at tougher penalties on those who decide to ride it out and understand that there are consequences to not leaving."

Rev. Pat Robertson: "The Democrats cannot afford a vendetta now, Judge Roberts should be grateful that a tragedy will bring him some good."

House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., on the rebuilding of hurricane-stricken New Orleans: "That doesn't make sense to me."

Former Pres. Reagan's speechwriter Peggy Noonan's #1 priority in helping the victims: "I hope the looters are shot."

Any other quotes you heard? (Since the media won't tell me) add them here!

2. WWJS
What would Jesus Say?

Really now, I am a Pagan, and this just amazes me that these people call themselves Christian.

I guess they either are not believers, or think that no judgment awaits them.

3. Poppy Bush on those trapped on roofs:
"I don't hear the individuals sitting on the roofs being interviewed, saying 'This so-and-so is to blame or why didn't FEMA act sooner, where's the Coast Guard, why weren't they there sooner?"

4. Little Ricky Quote is a keeper!
My mom is going to be volunteering for Casey in PA (they've never heard of Chuck Pennachio). I'm sending that quote by Little Ricky to my folks. That one's a keeper!

5. OMG this is classic:
Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Penn. Priority #1: "I mean, you have people who don't heed those warnings and then put people at risk as a result of not heeding those warnings. There may be a need to look at tougher penalties on those who decide to ride it out and understand that there are consequences to not leaving."

I guess starvation, dehydration and death aren't enough for Rickey boy!

Oh and if you haven't seen it the hurricane is all the fault of Gays, Israel and Man on Horse sex:

6. Republicans dirty rotten bigoted underbelly is shown once again
This has happened repeatedly over history. The Republicans like to pretend that they are humans - but they are always exposed when a real opportunity for them to be compassionate surfaces. Never met a Republican who wasn't actually a bigot once I got to know them better.
