My moderate hubby just said "Criminal negligence. Treason."
This is the husband who doesn't give a damn about anything other than how much he pays in taxes.

He's turned the corner. Big time.

self-absorbed that we wouldn't be concerned about the "throw away" people. I don't think that realized just how many decent, caring people there are in this country. Thank God.

I believe with every fiber of my being that if the WHOLE TRUTH were made known there would be riots in the streets demanding the heads of bushco* on pikes. These are godless, hateful, evil people. They want black against white and rich against poor. We easier to control and feed off of that way.

3. What a low moment that was for us all when it looked like those people
had just been abandoned. I mean - lower for them of course. They were there. But very low for all of us who think our democracies are such a great example to all. Some say the veneer of civilization was peeled off in NO. That's not where the thin veneer showed the greatest weakness and most horror. That was in Washington. Somewhere between the Pentagon making a pitty play for themselves on Wednesday night and Bush allowing a vacuum to occur in the response for reasons of furthering the political agenda or scoring points.

Those people in NO were just being themselves. Wh was not even human.

4. Definitely a high crime
Whoever was implicated in the cutting of funding (ie members of congress, prez, cabinet, etc) for the improvement of the floodwalls in NO.

Negligent Homicide.
