10,000 dead in New Orleans, I predict media to refocus on Natalie |
|
Hollaway soon and ignore the thousands dead, buried in mass graves in New Orleans.
Instead, they would sing the tune to not point any fingers, no Monday morning quarterbacking and continue to blindly follow the president and support the war in Iraq.
I blame our current fascist state as a nation on hate radio and Faux news!

1. win-win situation for Karl Rove and his "peeps" |
|
Win: Less blacks and poor folks to vote for Democrats
Win: Rove and his buddies now get to steal their property and build condos and casinos for the rich.
Mike Malloy is right, this is ethnic cleansing in the USA.

2. Let's take a page out of Rove's playbook... |
|
... and plant some evidence that Natalie's body had been moved to New Orleans! Then we'd get some attention and more effort in trying to get New Orleans recovery going!

3. more likely upwards of 10K per morgue worker: |

http://www.t-g.com/story/1116806.html"DMort is telling us to expect up to 40,000 bodies," Dan Buckner said, quoting officials with the Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team, a volunteer arm of Homeland Security.
...
The 40,000 estimate does "not include the number of disinterred remains that have been displaced from ... mausoleums," Buckner told the Times-Gazette Monday.
...
"My personal opinion is they will be recovering bodies for 30 ... to 120 days," Buckner said.:( :( :(

4. i agree with the time - but think the high # is "lowering expectations" |
|
I do think it'll be around 10,000 -- -but think that the big number is now being floated so taht the 10,000 seems low.
The 10,000 number came from the LSU (nonpolitical, presumably) model; these new numbers are ... in my "tin foil" mind ... a plant.

5. I can't remember, there have been so many models testing this |
|
one article I read a couple of years back predicted 50,000-100,000... can't remember where... As was the case with the tsunami, it may drift away as a story before we get an accurate number (as BushCo hopes...)
If you ask most people how many died in the tsunami, they're likely to say maybe 100K... forgetting to count the nearly 200K whose bodies were never found.

6. After 9/11, the media ran a continuous crawl with #Dead. |

And even falsely reported it HIGHER (over 6,000) for quite some time, to make it sound worse..
What is the difference now?
