Do you believe the war in Iraq is Over?
I was talking to a friend today that heard a journalist on cable talking about the War.

According to my friend, it is all over but the shouting for the War because Katrina Bin Hurricane rained on the Bushco parade.

* we don't have the money to keep up the fight

* we have already lost, the mission was NOT accomplished

+ the world already knew Bush was the emperor without clothes, now his own Party of Criminals knows that he can't protect them from some water much less some Weapons of Mass Destruction.

* the terrorists don't have to fight us on our turf, Katrina did it for them while the Chimp continued to read a wet copy of "My Pet Goat" in September of 2005.

14. I agree, who will want to enlist

when they know they will be treated with no dignity and no respect.

They know this war is NOT just.

2. rummy swore there are enough troops to fight the war on terror and do what
is needed on the homefront. I REALLY need to know what he is smoking, I have a couple of friends who could use that break from reality.

3. It's over, but not for the reasons you state.
It's over because we failed to engender any goodwill from the Iraqi people.

If we had deposed Saddam Hussein and immediately switched to a peacekeeping mission, and allowed for fair bidding of reconstruction work and made a true international effort, I can see that maybe, just maybe, we wouldn't be neck deep in Iraqi hatred right now. And that's really stretching plausibility there.

But we did none of that, leveled a city or two with no care for civilian life, and tortured innocent and guilty alike with completely inhumane methods.

Chaos is the only logical result at this point. No one will thank us for killing and humiliating a large portion of their population. They will fight us until one of us is gone.

4. the outcome is done ....
..... Islamic Theocracy and civil strife for years ...... a large part of Iraq
will become a home base for violent anti western terrorists .... it will
be Afghanistan X 10.

Another "thank you Mr. President" moment

5. The war will not be over for Dubya until Saddam is hanged...
by the neck until dead....Then, nothing else will matter...and that's the way it is..

6. The Iraq war was lost the minute we started it.
Too few resources and no real planning--a sure recipe for failure. I would add that even with much more manpower, we still wouldn't win in the sense of establishing a real democracy there. It was a losing proposition from the outset.

But, is is over? No. As long a Commander Cuckoobananas and his college of clowns is in charge, they will never end it. They'll keep bleeding both countries. Then they'll yell the next president "lost Iraq".

13. Yep and their workers don't have to dodge
bullets over here because the NG is on "shoot to kill" alert for any Black person in New Orleans.

Do any minorities work at Haliburton?

15. Haliburton makes out and can come here to make money

far less dangerous for them and the workers can be closer to THEIR families.

I have been asking and asking and I get no answers -- Is HaliCHENEY an equal opportunity employee?

9. I read a thread that said the Southern soldiers in Iraq are beginning
to really complain and want to come home to check their own families, homes, etc. That was the first time I thought this war may be over because some of the soldiers have lost their will to fight and that is really bad news for the Dimson.

They may be over there but they realize that the war is not winable.
At least the ones that do not drink kool aid. :(
