Here is an interesting poll on CNN
Can you understand people being reluctant to leave New Orleans despite the disaster?

I thought I would be in the minority on this one. I was not.

5. If you can't understand
Then you haven't got a clue. This is a faulty poll in that it equates lack of understanding with disagreement. Another "do you still beat your wife" poll.

6. Why did you think you would be in the minority?
Unless someone's home was completely destroyed, certainly, they would want to stay! Nightline did a story on this tonight. I think there are very few homes that haven't been destroyed, but the people I saw on Nightline were sure going to try to survive!

I know I would stay if it seemed at all possible. I'm not sure where they are going to get just the necessary stuff to make it though. There are no stores left, no power, no phone, and no gas. I don't know enough about the area to know how close the nearest food store is, or where they can get the bare necessities.

8. I thought I would be in the minority because...
with all the NG there now and with no power, no water, police not helping etc, I thought people would run for the hills so to speak, feeling hopeless against the magnatude of the situation.

10. And what the government ends up doing with the people they
have relocated is something that should be followed also. It just doesn't make sense to take them so far away from everything they have known.

11. It's amazing...like CNN has turned.
Their polls used to be so biased in favor of Bush and his bizarre policies. Now they seem to be the exact opposite.

It's strange, having grown accustomed to fighting the media bias for the past several years to see it coming around the other way.

It's like they are trying to lead us to the opposite conclusions through their poll questions than they were only weeks ago.

14. Easy to understand
I live at the Southern Tip of San Francisco Bay - walking distance from the Calaveras Fault-Hayward Fault, just east of the San Andreas Fault, in the Flood Plain of the Guadalupe River, Coyote Creek, and Alviso Creek, near the Don Edwards Nature Preserve.

1906, Loma Prieta -- I'm staying!

17. If they would let me take my dogs with me, I would stay too.
I would NEVER abandone my CHILDREN!

And if they tried to force me out or threatened to shoot me, I would try to kill as many of them (the gastapo trying to force me to leave) as I could!
