Asa Hutchison: "There will be plenty of time to point fingers."
Under Secretary of Homeland Security Asa Hutchinson on Olbermann: Plenty of time to lay blame, but now is NOT the time! We have to save those poor people! (One week plus later.) Also. NOBODY could have anticipated the break down of law and order in New Orleans.

===

Uh, nobody could have anticipated looting and lawlessness in a desparate urban area? And as to not pointing fingers, the next time you are stopped by the police for speeding, just say "Now, now, it is not the time to point fingers. I have to make progress to my destination, and that is exactly what I am going to do." The next time your boss calls you on the carpet for fouling up an assignment, tell her, "Why are you playing the blame game? Let's just move on and do what needs to be done." If your teen daughter stays out all night and comes home drunk and disheveled and you say "JENNA! I mean Caitlin! Where in the HELL were you???", expect her to answer "Dad, I made the decision to party all night with a frat house, but it's real easy for you to smugly blame me now in hindsight! There will be plenty of time to talk about this another time!"

5. LOL
I am slap happy from the overload of information on the disaster
I can't believe how many times I have muttered to myself in the last 6 days, "It just can't get worse" and bingo it gets worse.

I should take a break....

3. Asa Hutchinson should shut the fuck up
He's one of the stupidest people in Congress. Is anybody aware of the fact that he's a graduate of John Brown University in SC? (I think I have the name and state right)-- the university that banned interracial dating. Hutchinson isn't even capable of wiping his ass and the fact that he's in Congress just scares the living fuck out of me. What is this country coming to?

4. the time to place blame is NOW, while the whole world is watching,
including bushie's little sheeples, with the appalling short attention spans. two weeks from now, most of them will have forgotten everything important.

7. They are so dumb they don't realize how much worse it makes
them look when they talk about the urgency of saving people NOW when all of America and the world didn't hear a whisper from them when it was REALLY needed. This meme is going to fail miserably.

10. Completely different situations...
Going out to party with members of the opposite sex and driving a little faster than the posted sign tells you to are in a totally different category than willfully neglecting vital infrastructure needs and immediate rescue efforts that have left 10,000+ dead.

11. Wronnnngggg Asa Baby!
Not only is this the time, it is WAYYYYY past the time!! And get used to this, YOU don't tell a nation that just lost thousands of his citizens to complete incompetence, when they should start pointing fingers. Watch out that you dont' get too close to those the fingers are already pointing at ~ or you too, could be guilty by association.

I am sick to death of these cowards. They simply will not take responsibility for anything and will defend to their deaths, any and every crime this administration is guilty of. What happened to the Republican Party? Is there not a decent one among them? What WILL it take to get them to stand up and do the right thing? Thousands of dead Americans won't do it?

I am so thoroughly disgusted and ashamed that no one has yet been fired for this travesty, that the world watched for days and days, while they went to parties and shopped and fished.

Go away, Asa, you have zero power to quell the anger of decent Americans now ~ your attempts to do so will only make people MORE angry. We have a job to do, and you are in the way.
