LOL!!

Has any President in history ever called on his Mama and Daddy to go on television to defend him?

8. "a little dog named Checkers"???? Aw man that was a classic!
Apparently, IIRC, there was a push to kick Dick off the Ike ticket. And there were some charges of corruption/graft/bribes on his part. So, as damage control, Nixon went on television to address these charges. He claimed, in a hilariously maudlin fashion that only Richard Nixon could pull off, that the only gift he had received was little dog named Checkers. And he concluded with WE'RE KEEPING THE DOG! The favorable public sentiment afterwards, I understand, was overwhelming.

3. Remember when mommy was ready to beat up John Kerry for her

4. The really pathetic part is that rove is behind it.
There was talk 2 days ago that rove was going to set up the media defense, and what do you know? out pops mom & dad.

6. Consider the man's history..
A reckless youth, never settling into anything. "Gentlemanly C's" in school, his privilege by the rich man's affirmative action, a legacy admission.

Then, the war in Vietnam. Daddy pulls a few strings and hey, presto! A nice comfortable gig with the "Champagne Unit" of the TANG. But eventually, he blows that off as well. Daddy will take care of it.

Daddy got him his first job and his next and his next, all the while falling upwards. And at every failure, Daddy's friends are all too eager to rush in with wheelbarrows full of cash. And introductions to all the power brokers in the oil and financial worlds.

And through it all, a fiercely protective mother who will never allow any son of hers to be average.

Now, Georgie's in trouble again. Who can he turn to, now that even some of the most loyal supporters are starting to... well, question his actions?

Why, yes, he knows what to do!

"Hello, Mommy? Can you put Daddy on the phone please?"
