Time for a soulcheck, America. If you wouldn't wish this on New Orleans
why would you wish it on Baghdad?

You've seen how horrible it is for people to be herded like sheep.
You've seen what it's like to let people suffer for a week with no relief in sight.
You've seen what it's like to live without basic services and water.
You've seen what happens when people can't see a way out.
You've seen what happens when large numbers of people feel like they are being glad handed and bullshitted.

You've seen what it's like.

If you wouldn't wish it on New Orleans for a week, why are you tolerating it in Iraq for YEARS???

3. Why, Sir?
The politicos and bureaucrats would have motored into the Appalachians, and the people of the District are otherwise quite interchangeable with the people of New Orleans.

7. Here in Amurca, people think they are safe and protected.
Now they see otherwise.

Suddenly, they realize that what happened in NO can happen to them. But they didn't think what happened in Iraq WOULD, because Chimpy was protecting them by "fighting them over there", right? Right.

13. You're preaching to the choir here, at least to me. We're
tolerating it in Iraq because we have no choice. I can only hope this tragedy can be a wake-up call regarding Iraq and the absurdity of us being there, but am not holding my breath.
