Does anyone know if Port Arthur,TX was affected by Katrina? |
|
I've been out of the country for the last 2 weeks and can't get in touch with some family members there, since Katrina hit-it seems the phones are out-if nothing else. Thanks in advance and my sincerest condolences to those who were affected. Has the * learned to maneuver the weather now?

If the phones have been out there it certainly isn't related to Katrina. I can't find my archived wind field map but I am certain Port Arthur didn't even get sustained tropical force winds for long, if at all. It is well west of landfall even given Katrinas size and was on the weaker, and dryer, side of the storm.
Good luck getting in touch with your family.
