bu$h is trying to hide his kills.
People in this country need to see those photos. To show people what was done in their name.

2. easier to re-write history without picture proof
easier for them to claim "you can't prove that"

Bush knows the pictures would condemn him even more

4. Lot of damages had been done by Bush already... people had seen
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 02:53 AM by Rainscents
dead bodies on TV already... He sure can try to hide it further, however, this time, it's not going to work!

He wants to control this like Iraq, but, people will speak out of their dead love ones on TV and radio. He cannot control the American people! He think he can, but he is wrong!

I hate the baster!

6. I have mixed feelings about this
Because these are pictures of real people we're talking about, people who are/were someone's loved ones. Their families may not even know right now that they've died, considering the evacuees are so scattered.

I'd rather the survivors at least be given time to bury and mourn their dead. I'd hate to find out someone I loved had died by seeing public pictures of their corpse. I do think the pics should be seen, eventually, but not right now.

8. Too bad they didn't expeditiously tend to the still living with this same
tender concern:

"An agency spokeswoman said space was needed on the rescue boats and that "the recovery of the victims is being treated with dignity and the utmost respect."

Funny, when it's good news they drag the media out all over the place. Even effectively close down a shelter and stop victims from getting fed so that Laura can have a photo op for the media and make happy talk.

These assholes have no respect for the living or the dead. They just don't want the press to show the world any more the magnitude and reality of what has happened.

11. SHOW. THEM. NOW.
The best "respect" we can give to honor these dead is to make sure that they do not die in vain... don't let ** wiggle off the hook for his lack of leadership and action!

Public Service Announcement: If I am ever dead due to Bushco's ineptitude, and anyone finds MY dead body, please take LOTS of pictures and DO show the pictures -- everywhere.

13. Agreed, If the WAR had not been hidden and made so
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 06:12 AM by Alamom
perfectly sterilized, we may have already seen more Americans wake up and realize,
WE are a country in deep trouble and have been for nearly 5 years.

They have hidden most of the pictures of the dead from IRAQ.

They have hidden the pictures of the Flag Drapped Coffins coming back to American in the dead of night.

On any given day, there is little news of the WAR REALITY. Most people go about their lives as if nothing is going on.

Do we allow them to now hide the REALITY of this incredible death toll and suffering on our own soil.

Would NYC have allowed pictures of 9/11 to be hidden,
or did they want America and the world to know their horror and suffering?

I did not enjoy the 9/11 attack. I cried & suffered with the country due to the pictures I saw and the reports I heard. Otherwise, I would not have known how awful it was.

Our Military is being killed and they are silenced....

Do we allow our People, our America to be silenced because death is ugly and uncomfortable?

If we do, we are numb and prefer comfort to reality.

If we do, we are lost with no hope.

16. Explains why photojournalists were being beaten up
yesterday--I recall a thread on it. Learned there lessons well in Iraq, didn't they. They are treating the citizens of LA just like they treated the Iraqis.
