We're "Devilcrats", according to the born again CSPAN caller
who just now said that we sit at the left hand of Jesus. Lukewarm Christians. He could never vote for the Dems after becoming a Christian.

Anyone who can't see the evil of this administration has to be wearing blinders or something.

2. That's fine by me, I could never vote repug because of the pseudo-
christians. Their God isn't the God of the poor, suffering and underprivileged anyway, their God is a God of the rich white male who loves to hate.

5. We'll get the last laugh. Because right-wingers who do manage to
make it to heaven will think they're in hell. What other conclusion can they reach once they cross the Pearly Gates, look around and see so many darkies in the room with them -- for eternity!

10. My RW mother said John Kerry was of the devil
guess that said a hell of a lot about a lot of us who voted for the man.

This is no surprise at all. They can't tell the difference betwees Jesus and bush. I really feel sorry for Jesus.

11. "The Bible says Democrats are lukewarm Christians." REALLY?
Where the hell in the bible are 21st century US politics mentioned?

An earlier OK City caller said that God destroyed NOLA because it was a Soddom and Gomorrah and that NYC was next?

These people are fucking insane. :scared:

23. I used to find this stuff funny..
then I read a post a while back from another DUer-

There is a shift happening in some American evangelical Christian communities. There is a denial or rejection of Christ the crucified first coming in favor of the second coming. To only worship the second coming is to reject the idea of mercy and compassion as Christian values, and instead focus on the concept of the wholesale slaughter of the wicked and unrighteous. With this change of mindset, murder of the unrighteous becomes just as holy as communion. This is the emotional metamorphosis that we need to understand.

You need to understand how this growing movement can justify violence as a Christian value without feeling hypocritical. The more we on the left react to this sort of mentality with ridicule, the more we strengthen their resolve.

25. I didn't say I thought this was funny. I find it deluded and
dangerous. I find it more disturbing that the greater Christian community doesn't appear interested in marginalizing these dangerous zealots. They are no different thant the fundamentalist Islamic or Judaic sects. ALL are dangerous.

26. 'The right is dangerous and violent' - said by Dan Savage
He said it on Bill Maher when they were talking about Pat Robertson and Ann Coulter.

It is very true. I find too many of them have no problem with this kind of talk and it's given a pass so easily. I worry someone will really take it to heart and resort to violence because of what these windbags say.
