2. superdome video is not playing
Did they take it down after the government said no dead americans to be shown???

the video with mayor nagin is heartbreaking and to see Oprah cry like that... I only hope she raises hell and does something.

7. It's bizarre that our celebrities and actors are the ones who
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 12:31 PM by mirandapriestly
are going in and doing things to help hands on ( and donating lots of $ from what I've read) and our President and his staff only go in for photo ops and do practically nothing to help. Also, regular folks, of course, who aren't as visible. Something is way off balance.

9. The wwl.com radio had the sports guys stuck in the overnight hours...
These guys said they believed they'd been put there because they would do the 'least damage' there! lol They were awesome. (ok a bit right leaning for my taste, but they still did a sweet job of bashing the feds)

The funny thing was, cell phones seemed to work better at night, so the station was getting a lot of calls during their time slot from people needing rescues, from people wanting to help feed animals left behind... The coverage was very heart-breaking... Plus, these guys had 'gallows humor' going for them, which I appreciate.
