And not only were they responsible, but they actively thwarted efforts of people that wanted to get in and help. I've heard this denied on the news, but it's bunk. I saw too many men saying it on camera. Told them they had to "coordinate". And they left military resources out at sea.
For what, else it would have been a "disaster". For what, else people would have died? For what, the people would have gotten TOO much help, what were we worried about WASTING resources when people were dying??? People would have been in *more* danger from the assistance efforts, what?? People were already DYING! And not just one or two stories of help being turned away, but many stories of people AND NATIONS having goods they collected turned down, buses waiting outside of town, 1000 dotors ready to go in Cuba, and on and on. Cuba isn't thta far away, they could have helped. But the same days they said they didn't need the resources, they said they couldn't coordinate *deploying* the resources...so what the hell good were the resources?
Too many mistakes, over too many issues. Too confusing. Conflicting reports. Its starting to sound familiar.
So I wonder if they built this disaster. The mistakes are too many to number, and that spells spin, smells like team spirit effort to me. I hope I'm wrong, though; don't think for a second I'm saying it had to be intentional.
Heck, it's not my fault this looks like LIHOP; it's their pattern after all. For this, it seems that, had they wanted to aggravate this disaster to hellish proportions, they could've hardly done a better job of it. On it's face, that's how it seems to me. WAY too much military in that area, and military in general in this nation, that would have jumped right into that hurricane, given half a chance and a go-ahead. That's how they are, I know. Being available for national disasters was the ONE thing that almost got me to sign on for reserve status. Almost. But I was afraid of our government; sadly I had no idea how right I was, in the pre-Y2K era. Stuff like this, knowing I had training and the ability to help, it was the ONE thing that almost kept me in the system. Trust me, military was SHUT out of this. Had to be.
