Waching the mechanics of politics at work is so annoying -
and frustrating. Imagine if we behaved like this in our jobs, or in our family lives - twisting every sentence, every word...veiled lies everywhere, taking forever to get anything done. One thing this disaster has proven to me is that, though our system may be the best of a bad lot, it is still a very bad lot. Lesson 2 - there is a huge, wide gulf between the left and right with respect to empathy. I am reminded yet again that I am indeed a bleeding heart liberal - I care for people, and am sickened by those who can't or don't choose to do likewise. I also realize that the whole world can't be like us, but I just wish that the alternative view were not so repugnant. How can they live with themselves? Is it any wonder that during this period when they control it all, it has become so desperately bad.

That's all of the rant I can muster right now - am exhausted, sad, depressed, just completely wiped out.
