In the tradition of the website www.sorryeverybody.com that came out after the last election and, lacking the time to set up a proper website, I thought the least I could do was start a thread here.
To the people of New Orleans and all of the other areas affected by Katrina:
We're sorry for all of the people that died in the storm.
We're sorry for all of the people that died in the flood.
We're sorry for all the people that died needlessly in the aftermath due to the failed leadership of this country.
We're sorry that FEMA blocked aid that could have saved lives and alleviated some of the suffering.
We're sorry that our elected officials stood by in silence while people were dying.
We're sorry for the people in the areas that are still waiting for FEMA to show up.
We're sorry for the way you have been treated.
We're sorry for all of the pets that had to be left behind.
We're sorry for Barbara Bush's despicable comment.
We're sorry that you will be sent to FEMA camps.
We're sorry that the Federal government is full of incompetent and uncaring idiots.
We're sorry that Bush is trying to blame your local officials.
We're sorry that Bush is in the White House.
We're sorry that nothing has been done about our rigged elections.

We're sorry that the party currently in charge of all branches of the federal government is both criminal and sociopathic.
We're sorry that you spent any time in that disaster believing that no one in this country cared.

We're sorry that the military is exploiting survivors by sending recruiters to the Astrodome. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x4678930
