where is the leadership? . . . where is the courage?. . . |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 11:02 AM by OneBlueSky
over a week after the worst disaster and most flagrant crime in our nation's history, and NOT ONE of our Democratic "leaders" has called for Bush's resignation . . . NOT ONE of our Democratic "leaders" has talked of Articles of Impeachment . . . NOT ONE of our Democratic leaders has stood up and said "This is more than a disaster; it is a crime of the first magnitude. George Bush and his entire administration must be removed for the murder of countless thousands of American citizens." . . .
instead, we have the corporate media spinning faster than a Cuisenart to deflect "blame" from BushCo and lodge is squarely on state and local officials . . . and NOT ONE of our Democratic "leaders" is standing up and saying "NO, this is Bush's responsibility. He MUST be held accountable!" . . .
no leadership . . . no courage . . . no rocking the boat for fear of . . . well, I don't know what the hell they're afraid of . . . but whatever it is, the definition of courage is facing your fears . . . and NOT ONE of our Democratic "leaders" is demonstrating an ounce of courage . . . calling for Brown's dismissal is merely a deflection of accountability from where it belongs: squarely on the shoulders of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and the rest of the dysfunctional BushCo family . . .
I can't maintain the anger and the disgust and the outrage much longer . . . SOMEONE has to stand up and tell the unvarnished truth and say "Follow me. We'll get rid of the bastards and do everything in our power to save this country from their malfeasance." . . .
no leadership . . . no courage . . . and no more reason to support Democrats than to support Republicans . . .

One Blue, we're on our own. If anything should ever make that clear, it is this mess. We are on our own.

2. I share your disappointment |
|
While there is something to be said for letting the ChimpCo crime organization show itself for what it is, the time for that has passed. Why have no elected Dems spoken out forcefully, save for Nancy Pelosi and Dennis Kucinich? Would we hear them if they did? Wes Clark and Howard Dean have certainly made themselves heard, at least to those who read blogs, but where is a leading Senator (paging Ted Kennedy) or member of the House leadership?
The entire Chimp crime family should be impeached, removed from office and sent to the Hague or to prison in this country. I am beginning to think that this country has truly passed the point of no return. The Cabal controls all of the major broadcasting outlets (newspapers are read by only a small percentage of the sheeple), the voting machines and virtually all of the machinery. Is there any point in continuing to fight it or has the time come to just give up and leave? I truly fear for the next couple of years, but at least I have enough points to get into Canada if the crap really hits the impeller blades, and it may just come to that.

4. This is not the Democratic party... |
|
...that I grew up loving and respecting for fighting the good fight FOR the people.
I've lost all respect for the Party of the DLC and their 'safe' politics of sleeping with the enemy. They must think we're as stupid and gullible as the RWingers that blindly follow Bush over a cliff without a second thought. The 'new' Democrats still seem to believe that we're going to vote for them after witnessing their cowardice in the face of adversity.
Do they really expect us to shut up and not say anything as they abandon the people to the corruption and mismanagement of the Bush Pirates?
The Democratic party has been without leadership for so long that no one really expects them to do the right thing anymore. What a sad thing to have to admit.

5. The Dems forget the power they do have |
|
They way they act one would think they were in a very, very small minority--like only 10% of Congress. These assholes basically represent one half in the House and Senate. But by being silent they give the whole shittin' thing to the Repubs. I can't wait until election time when they try to look like realy brave, fightin' dudes. I'll spit in their faces.
