Idea for DU feature: TALKING POINTS BOARD
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 11:17 AM by iconoclastNYC
I wish there was a page that was indexed by topic and had the top talking points for each issue ranked by effectiveness. Also could include oppoisitions talking points and the counter talking points for those.

1. Great Idea!
And if that happens, maybe you should have to be logged in to view that section?

2. Dumbed down talking points is what we are fighting here!
5 years of talking points have damaged and disgraced our beautiful Country. They are the masters of deceitful f***ing talking points. I think Americans are tired of them.

3. Totally disagree.
In the media you have very little opportunity to get your message across and we need to chose what we say very carefully and using framing to shape the debate.

There are many ways you can argue our positions but very few of them limit the debate and play well in the media.

The right uses framing and soundbytes because they are effective and we must do so as well.

4. I think that would be the Frame the Dabate group?
That said, I think reducing the argument to soundbites is part of the problem.

5. It's a problem when it's only the Republicans do it
and we seem verbose and muddled next to the republicans.
