KATRINA STIRS FEARS Storm is already a killer-next hit may be 'catastrophic'
<snip>
Forecasters warned that the worst of the storm might yet come. Katrina could balloon into a monster Category 4 before it next makes landfall somewhere along the Gulf Coast early next week, they said.
"No matter where it hits, if it's a Category 4 at landfall, it could be catastrophic," said Max Mayfield, director of the National Hurricane Center west of Miami. "We hope we're wrong."
Quote end.
There was plenty of warning for anyone who reads, or listens to experienced people.

2. There's a picture in the same paper with a neighborhood flooded |
|
out just like in New Orleans. The caption below it: "Homes in Miami-Dade are flooded Friday after Hurricane Katrina. After flying over Miami-Dade on Friday to survey flood damage, Gov. Jeb Bush assured Floridians the state could meet whatever challenges lies ahead."
You're going to tell me that George Bush didn't talk to Jeb Bush before Sunday to find out he had a killer storm on the way?

|
didn't find out about it until Thursday? No wonder there were no WMD's. This Bush admin is filled with incompetent fools.

4. I laugh at how you say "even" the OS knew... |
|
...it's quite surprising that that rag of a newspaper "knows" anything.

when exactly did it become a cat 4 & 5? i remember not paying attention to it as it hit florida, because it was a cat 1. then suddenly, i saw it had gained strength and was going to be a killer. i was barely paying attention, and I KNEW! these guys are just lying. it's what they do best. but the truth will come out! i know that, too!

6. They knew... they just didn't give a $#@^. |

I saw a quote posted from that idiot bush put in charge of FEMA, before the storm hit, wherein he indicated that he was aware the storm could be catastrophic.
