"What message are Dems sending to the terraists?"
I heard this on Washington DC radio 107.7 on the way home today; it will probably will be repeated (Osgood File):

Talking about Diane Mikulski (sp?) saying that we weren't prepared for this and if we aren't prepared for a disaster for one city, how could we be prepared for an attack...

What message does this send to sleeper cells....

Dems should not be criticizing the gov't planning...

Weakens our defense....

Etc. ad nauseum.

Needless to say I heard this all as a message to Dems or anyone speaking out against the absolutely horrendous response to Katrina as another "you're either for us or against us" tactic to hush the Dems trying to investigate this tragedy and to throw a "patriotic wrench" into the mix.

Will this be their new talking point?

Oh. My. God.
They.Have.No. Shame.

4. Well it looks like the message the Republicans are sending
is that we are still not prepared and we wouldn't be able to do anything to stop them and furthermore, they don't really care.

6. Who sent the message to the terrorists that America is unable
to react to national disasters whether it be natural or man made? The world, allies and 'others' have seen that Homeland Security is nothing but a gigantic false facade.

7. Not a good propaganda - the terrists can see it for themselves.
We don't exactly live in a media vacuum.

10. Yeah, can the criticism, everybody!
Maybe if we're re-e-e-e-al quiet about it, the terrorists won't notice the thousands of displaced persons, the ineptitude of the response, the total meltdown of any responsibility, and the corrupt incompetence of the administration!

Jesus, they must think everybody's as stupid as their Freeper base.

11. Well....
They are telling the "turists" that if you attack us and the American people start demanding answers from the President they will remain silent and instead focus on "recovery" and "healing". :puke:

This is America,
EVERYONE is a government critic!

The only way to slow it down is for government to do well.

13. Their message is DENIAL
Stick our collective head in the sand, don't talk about the elephant in the room, hope it will go away, hope terr-ists will forget we are here. They are setting us up for failure in the event of an attack only for the proposed benefits of wishful thinking. ID-I-OTS. Pure stupidity.

15. Look, It Does Not Take A Politician To Know This.
I said the excat same thing right here two days ago. If I get it, the terrorists get it. I frankly would be suprised if they do not strike soon. While half of our resources are tied up in Iraq and the rest in the Gulf region.

Believe me. Our enemies already know when we are weak (probably before our own gub-ment gets it). NOW!

18. When we were in NO on our honeymoon two years ago, we heard that
the leeves were not being taken care of countless times. That was something that we heard on several tours, at bars and in other touristy areas. The people of NO talked of it frequently. ANy terrorist wanting to know the weak points of the United States wouldn't have to work too hard to find out. One trip to NO wold have pointed that out to them. Duh.
