Is having the pleasure of passing them with their their cars, festooned with those insipid Bush/Cheney and "W" stickers, and changing lanes to get in front of them. I spent a good share of morning rush hour today doing just that. You should have seen the heads explode. I don't think I got very many Republicans' mornings off to a good start.

After two days of driving around with this sticker on my car, I have had some interesting encounters. In addition to the multitude of dirty looks, fingers, yells, and looks of complete and utter shock, I have also observed the following:



- A black woman behind me in line at the gas station came up to me and thanked me for having the guts to put this on my car. She said she would love to put one on herself and said "But you've seen how they treat black people in this country and I fear I'd get lynched."

- I had an interesting 10 minute, civilized conversation with a gentleman outside of a local hardware store yesterday. He said he was a Republican, and has been outraged by what he has seen. He said he beleived in my right to voice my opinion, but wanted me to explain why I thought how he personally had blood on his hands. I explained to him "by voting for them." I then went on to explain the whole Neo Conservative movement, about Leo Strauss, how the Neo Cons have infiltrated and hijacked what used to be an honorable party of honorable men. He had no idea what a NeoCon even was. I ended up writing down Internet links for him to read about PNAC, Neo-Cons, etc... I thanked him for his time and politely told him that he needed to educate himself about the people who have hijacked his party, and then educate friends and family so the can help kick these yahoos out on their ears. He also asked me why he hadn't heard about any of this on the news. I told him "because they own the media and they don't WANT you to know." He looked puzzled, had an "oh shit" look on his face. Thanked me, shook my hand, and said he was going to do some reading this weekend.

SUVs to regular, run of the mill cars, right on down to beaters that look like their next stop is the trash heap. This part of Michigan is a literal breeding ground for Resmuglicans.

I passed a couple on an interstate not long ago. One of their cars was broken down and the other was obviously there to pick up the stranded partner - both had W04 stickers on them!

That if you go to a sign store, you can have them cut up some of their blank magnetic sign material, and you can affix the bumper sticker to it. That way you can take it off and put it in your trunk when you park and leave your car in public so it's not vandalized.

If I'm parking my car unattended I can remove the sticker. IT's a good idea for sure to use the magnatic material.

13. That's exactly what I'm doing!

I printed it out on my inkjet printer, slapped it on the magnetic sheet, spray coated it with clear acrylic to protect it and cut it down to size.

I take it off of I park somewhere. I'm bold, but this is the only car I've got and I don't want to spring for a new paint job or anything.

That was when my Nana shocked the heck out of me and said the comparison was BS and that a woman should have the right to choose.
