Bushies snub Cuba's offer of help.
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 03:11 PM by Cascadian

The White House gave a terse response to the Cuban government's offer to help victims of Hurricane Katrina by stating that it hoped Fidel Castro "would offer freedom to his people."

What a childish yet expected snub from the Bushites.

5. Too bad Cuba's generosity has been rebuffed, while the Saudis are coddled.
China is warmly embraced while Cuba is damned. Where is the consistency? The US must not seek subvert other nations.

7. They snubbed everybody's help. And when they finally couldn't
reject foreign help anymore - because the world saw that people had no help and openly asked what was going on - the US finally officially asked for help - only to not employ it when it came. German engineers with hyper modern pumps are still waiting outside NO this minute and are not being let in.
