In this time of tragedy and heartache, we've watched with smiles and tears of those who have gone above and beyond to help in any way they can.
This thread is dedicated to those people. I am not a religious or even a very spiritual person, but for those who have touched my heart with their caring, giving and love...all I can say is: Bless You!
My list:
Gov. Blanco Chief of Police of New Orleans (sorry, I can't remember his name) Mr. Broussard Oprah Jamie Foxx Chris Rock
Feel free to add those who you would bless.

4. There have been a few... |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 03:52 PM by Totally Committed
Al Gore (for his airlift of the critically ill)
Wes Clark (Sr. and Jr.) (For speaking out strongly and early against the Bush lack of leadership)
Kanye West (for speaking truth to power on live network TV)
Sean Penn (for taking his own boats out to rescue people still in the water)
John Stewart (for speaking the ultimate truth night after night)
Bill Maher (for speaking his own truth week after week)
Maureen Dowd (for skewering Bush in her Op-Eds better than anyone else)
Oprah (her shows, yesterday and today, plus $2 million)
John Grisham ($5 million)
Celine Dion ($1 million -- and she isn't even American!)
John Travolta and Kelly Preston ($4 million dollars worth of food, water, baby supplies, stuffed toys, and clothes flown in on his own plane)
and, anyone else I have forgotten or don't know about yet for any human kindness to the people who have suffered so much.
Blessings to all!
TC
On edit:
Anderson Cooper and Keith Olberman (for being the most honest brokers in the MSM--TV division)

elected president. After waiting 5 days for Shrub to rescue the survivors, President Gore gave up and chartered an American Airlines jet and rescued 140 hospital patients. He just couldn't wait anymore for Shrub to step up to the bat... http://www3.knoxnews.com/kns/local_news/article/0,1406,KNS_347_4054083,00.html Thank you President Gore.
