4. Why yes - Gallup bought by Bush cousin.
well, that's what I heard. Typically shift the answers 10 pts, but in this case might want to up the shift.

3. OK, where did Bill Schneider-Puss get his numbers?
He claimed last hour that no one was blaming the president.

13. I've heard about a study, while researching 1984
Which stated that about 1/3rd of any group will believe whatever their leaders tell them, even if it disagrees with they really believe. 1/3rd of every group won't believe their lying eyes. I think this is Bush's base.

19. Al Franken said 20% of Americans get all their news from talk radio.
Assuming that statistic doesn't include AAR, there's 20% who will always think anything a Republican does is A-ok.

I really, really wish one of the Republican heroes would get a blow job from a Heritage Foundation intern - just so we could watch their heads explode as they try to explain why this is different from Clinton.

8. There's always a weird dichotomy in these polls...
I'm sorry, you can overlook mistakes sometimes, but not in the completely f..cked up handling of a massive hurricane everyone knew was coming. "Brownie", the FEMA head, should be fired immediately from a job he should have never had in the first place. THis runaway cronyism and only appointing incompetent people who will do what Massa George tells them to do is destroying this country.

9. Gallup took an exit poll at a recent Boosh fund raiser.

That explains why the numbers are so high.

10. Gallup always over polls repubs
You have to get the internals that say what % polled were repubs versus dems and independents. It seems they have been difficult to find, lol.

slaughtered newborns on live TV.

15. Is there an oddity in the wording?
We have 35% approval of Federal Agencies, but only 29% say fire agency heads? Something smells

16. Remarkably..
A CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll of 609 adults taken September 5-6 shows:
13% said George W. Bush is "most responsible for the problems in New Orleans after the hurricane"; 18% said "federal agencies"; 25% said "state and local officials"; 38% said "no one is to blame"; 6% had no opinion. -- 29% said that "top officials in the federal agencies responsible for handling emergencies should be fired"; 63% said they should not; 8% had no opinion.

<cough> maybe we can twist the numbers somehow..

17. People could go home and watch any stupid show on TV they
wanted. This wasn't treated like 9/11 with it on every channel.

If you didn't want to pay attention, you didn't have to and many didn't.

The whole world felt surreal when you would go somewhere and everything was going on like normal while our government was completely failing its main purpose for being.

22. God that is so true...work has not been easy lately
But dammit, like a lemming I still go.

I did ask off for the 24th, though.

With all the horrifying rumors of concentration camp conditions for the survivors, I really have to wonder if there are some FEMA ready for us when we show up. After all, housing tens of thousands of protesters is as easy as 1,2,3 with a rubber-stamp government like this and a dictator who will do ANYTHING to save himself.

20. Hophead at EiB said that only 13 percent disapproved
of Bush's handling. I don't know if he made it up but the only numbers I found were ABC's and Rasmussen polls...they had disapproval ratings well over 50 percent.
