Administration moves forward with Swarzkopf doctrine
Reuters is reporting that FEMA will initiate press blackout.

This is my opinion:

It is true. The Administration's strategy is to utilize the "we don't do bodycounts" doctrine to provide political cover for their gross incompetance in averting this disaster.

The denial of relief to survivors was an attempt to stir unrest in order to justify a declaration of marshal law. The plan was to wait for Cholera to be detected so that a quarantine could be set in place.

The outbreak of disease has been foiled by the grace of God and not because of any preventive actions taken by the Administration.

If the press can be kept away, they will succceed in sweeping the scope and magnitude of this horror out of the minds of the public.

Already the Karl Rove talking points are focusing attention on shiny, shiny, school buses and shifting discussion away from events that led up to this tragedy.

The body count is a propaganda tool to these people. Witness Iraqi Freedom. They immediately began to disinter mass graves in Iraq, many that were decades old. This was propaganda designed to distract from the fact that WMD were not to be found. This propaganda was successful and will be successful again.

We must demand a full casualty count and demand identification of the remains.

Dissenting views are welcome, as I may be missing something.
