CBS News: FEMA's Screw Up (Politics Played a Role)

They jsut had a report on the screw up's by FEMA. Talked about many of the people in charge are novices and only got their jobs because of "Political Connections". The ablility to manage disasters is being eroded.

Did Washington create its on problem by putting FEMA in the Dept Of Homeland Security, and then reducing its budget. Also said that the focus on terror was hampering the ability to do disaster relief.

On the Congressional investigation: The reporter thinks that there will be an independent investigation because it will just be Congress investigating itself

if there's one thing we've learned is that this congress does not care to investigate anything. More cover-up that will lead to more beauracracy that will lead to more looting. We need a leader. We need a couple of them...with law degrees...and subpeona power...and huge balls.
