Why was Bush SO HAPPY last week?
Edited on Wed Sep-07-05 06:31 PM by DoYouEverWonder

Because he thought he hit another trifecta.

The only thing he didn't win was control of Louisiana. If that had happened New Orleans would be turning into Baghdad and all those scary black people would be coming to attack us.

This man is a homicidal maniac.

Please, someone arrest him and his gang before they kill again?

3. Because Katrina was going to pay off by being a smoke screen, by
letting him reconnect with the racists & "fear of black crime" people who are his base. Because it would put a bag over Cindy. Because it would mean the Canadians would have to pay attention to the humanitarian crisis and not start the discussion about undoing NAFTA they were planning on doing that week. There could be so many reasons for happiness. The incompetence that would be 'let happen' would make the argument for corporations stepping into the contracts.

11. Last week everytime a Repug talked about the disaster
all they talked about was property.

Whenever a Dem talked about the disaster, it was the human begins that they talk about.

13. and when will THAT change?????
Arghhh!!!

It seems part of the problem is the vastness of our country. (Something the Europens frequently fail to understand when they wonder why every American has a car.)

When you live in the mid-west or west, a protest in DC takes more time, more money -- two related things that many people are in short supply of these days -- to get to.

There's also the problem that a great majority of people are simply not personally uncomfortable enough yet. However, if they wait till they are cold & hungry, what will be left to fight for?
