Anyone watching CSpan? Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) |
|
Rep Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) & Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-FL) calling for ACCOUNTABIITY. Rep. Ryan said that FEMA "war gamed" Katrina in July, 2004 calling it Hurricane Pam.
Rep Meek ask about his daily briefing (and read a portion of the one page) "is it lip service or for real? This is what you put on your website when you're selling cookies."
Rep. Wasserman Schultz gave FEMA an "F." And, wah-hoo, made the connection between the extreme give-aways in Florida in 2004 and the election. Paid for 312 deaths when the official count was 123.

1. Roscoe Bartlett (Fossilized, Maryland) on right now, |
|
boo-hooing the fact that the US put their oil rigs in hurricane alley, and the devestating effect it has had upon gas prices. No talk about people, just oil, oil, oil.
waaaahhh. maybe he should trade in his limo for a prius.

2. Yes, but he is talking about Peak Oil. The fact that we have 2% of |
|
the oil supply, use 25% and import 2/3 of what we use.
Must be Jimmy Carter's fault, his energy bill. That was a close one. So glad that Ray-gun did away with that enery bill.

4. Yes, and he and Wasserman Schultz are from Florida! Good to |
|
know that we have some representation in Florida. (Of course, Allan Boyd was not there.)
