You know the one that sprung up after Bush stole the election and we apologized to the world. Also - how does one denounce their citizenry? Anybody know?

6. I think one more FOR the survivors of Katrina |
|
in letting them know that even though they have been through hell, the public has not forgotten them, or will forget them, as they become more and more displaced as citizens. Of course, it would not be inappropriate to send the message such as, "I'm sorry for all you've had to go through, and am ashamed of our government's lack of timely response."
Am sure it would be a good site as there would be plenty of opportunity to share the shame to project a powerful message that if we could have we would have been there and helping long before the FEMA Fuck Up and/or the arrogant hubris of a dispassionate narcissistic and inept president who can only "lead" in photo-ops, not in reality.

5. We have to apologize for our fellow citizens.... |
|
We apologized to the world for Bush being elected and we now need to apologize to New Orleans citizens for our governments actions. Let them know we denounce Bush and his cronies.

I am more than willing to apologize for something that went wrong under my responsibility, but I won't do so for somebody else who made the mistake. Let them carry the onus of responsibility, not me, for it isn't mine, since I didn't vote for Bush. If a person next to me makes a mistake, let him apologize for it. I think the world already knows there are Americans who dislike Bush. I am not one of the 56 million who was "so stupid" as one British newspaper reported to have voted for such a sorry president. They made the mistake, not me.
