criticism of Bush = Bush bashing, according to media
Edited on Thu Sep-08-05 02:38 AM by JI7
notice how the media whores always report on criticisms of Bush by calling it "Bush bashing" or "attacking Bush" rather than discussing the actual criticism and whether there is fact behind it.

this is different from when Dems are attacked. they just report the right wing attacks on the Dems as truth and demand the Dems explain or apologize or whatever else.

is it bashing if you are just telling the truth about serious public policy type issues ?

2. more of the same...
Strange, during the 8 years of Clinton I don't think I ever remember the media reporting criticism of Clinton as "Clinton Bashing".

More subliminal mind control to make the masses believe that questioning Dubya is unpatriotic and wrong...

5. "Bush Bashing" is alliterative, "Clinton Bashing" isn't, and
the media thinks it is clever to use alliteration.

That, and the media drank the "patriotic" kool aid after 9-11.

3. Jack Cafferty on CNN
has been awesome of late in NOT giving BushCo a free pass. Poor Wolfie Blitzer has not been able to come up with responses, and tends to uncomfortably move on with the show "The Situation Room".

15. I noticed that.......
Cafferty, CNN's lightening rod curmudgeon, has been VERY critical of the bushies of late. You're right, "Leslie" Blitzer has a very hard time responding to Jack's criticism. You KNOW he wants to say something to cover bush's ass, but I think he's afraid of Cafferty and what he could do to him if he crossed him.
Jack's daughter is a senior at Tulane University too, so I think the situation there hits a little close to home for him. We've actually exchanged e-mails about evacuating New Orleans every time a hurricane draws near. I guess, in the end, we're just two loving Dads looking out for our little girls. And I'm as pissed as he is over the handling of this tragedy by the bushies.

11. Maybe we need to just remind them
that there isn't any need for a "blame-game" when they take responsibility for their deliberate inaction.

Because to me, the longer they play this game of deflection, the more they look like this delay was intentional.

9. "Democrats on the ATTACK!"
If more than 2 Democrats merely question or criticize the Bush admin over a particular issue, the MSM is guaranteed to spin this as a "Democratic Attack". Which then "justifies" putting on the air every right-wing loudmouthed repuke in sight for "balance" on said issue. The facts about which are no longer of any real meaning because it then enters the stage of "relativism", making it a battle of talking points (mostly rethug, since we don't have any), and any justified moral outrage or even factual evidence eventually disappears.

And that's one of the ways they "get away with it".

As if Democrats are manufacturing The Administration's incompetence for partisan gain.

My disdain for GW Buxh transends party membership.

13. Exactly, the "blame game"
The hidden word in that phrase is "political". The insinuation is that any criticism is merely a political "game", and the Democrats are using the situation to "play politics" (play a game).
