it gets harder all the time for the republicans to hide their racism
ever since blatant racism was re introduced into the public forum under ronny reagan, the republicans quickly began using code words for racism. welfare queens, lazy blacks, the soft bigotry of low expectations, (my fave), but now when they call into cspan they can just barely contain their hatred of america's black population.

but man o man, the katrina disaster has brought it out of them anew, with barbara the baroness bush at the top of the elitist list. these imposing white republicans in their black power suits feel more threatened than ever by black folks to the point of hoisting colin and condi onto the stage as perfect examples of how a black person should be.

the horror of a hurricane is what it took to further expose them for what they are, white supremacists in the WHITE house.

1. I know and to be honest.......
Edited on Thu Sep-08-05 04:40 AM by ladylibertee
I am sick of it.I am 31 years old and grew up in Southern California where I didn't have to really deal with it. My family is racially blended and has zero tolerance for racism of any kind.HOWEVER, I was not raised STUCK on STUPID either. I have seen the documentaries and heard the stories and I know when someones civil rights are being violated. What I am seeing on the news lately is making me feel like it's my turn . This is my Civil Rights Era, This is my turn to march, picket and get active because I am seeing that old fashioned White Supremest mentality starting to creep back into society and I have news for them.I may have a little white in the blood, but I will show no mercy on anyone who brings that shit around me.Don't make me get out my BLACK leather jacket and those BLACK hats and medallions and go Black Panther on somebody because I will.:P . I mean seriously, if White Supremest really wanna go there, it's not gonna be so easy this time around because, you can't hose us down, we'll be sitting right next to you on the bus,we'll be washing our hands at the same public restrooms, we'll be eating at the same restaurants and.....you gotta hire us to make that quota

oh and P.S. I know what you mean about CSPAN. I watch the show and get pissed off when I hear that crap, but I feel better right away because theres always another " normal" white person who calls in right after and blasts them, so it's all good.

2. Every comment complaining about picking on bushie
contains an element of racism.

Most often the pro-bush rant begins with -- why are you blaming everything on Bush and then the pro-bushie goes on to say, well "they" just weren't prepared -- or "they" should have just left.

In a way all we need to do is shut up -- these maggots are hanging themselves.

6. If BushCo got away with their devious plans
Poor black people were about to become the new terrorists. Osama isn't scaring anybody anymore and BushCo needed a new boogieman.

When BushCo went into New Orleans last week it was not a rescue operation, it was a military operation. Their hope was to turn New Orleans into Fallujah and to convince the rest of the country that hordes of looting, drug addicted, dangerous black people would be running all over the country soon. Of course, armed troops would be the only way to provide security and we would have been well on our way to a military dictatorship.

25. The Dixiecrats and the Klan were folded into the Republican Party.
Now they seem to be in charge of the Republican Party. From my point of view, it is good to see racism is open, rather than their "dirty little not exactly secret."

You cannot fight what is hidden.

15. I've heard the 'n' word from two repugs now...amazing how NOLA
has exposed the poor, the underprivileged and the America bigotry all in a week. When the water recedes the truth of what hatred looks like will be seen. Just like Emmit Till, and to think, this is the 21st century been lead by 19 century minds.

16. We can't let this whole episode be forgotten during the coming elections.
We must keep it in the forefront of everyone's mind; everyone of all colors. We can't bow down to the smears that will come. They will say anything they can think of to discredit us, and we must stand firm against it and keep repeating our mantra, over and over. Use their own tactics against them. The time of playing fair is over. With elections being stolen we need to get so much of the vote that it will be impossible for them to skew the results in their favor without raising some serious red flags.

We need to slam our Senators and Congressmen/women who are running next year with emails, snail mails, and phone calls telling them that this is their last chance with us. We have put up with a lot of bullshit from them, and we will not take it anymore. They need to do it our way, or we are out of the Democratic Party (along with our MONEY) and they will never win another election again. Down to the ones you love the most. My local Mayor, Martin O'Malley, is running for Governor of Maryland next year, and I love him as a politician -- I think he is one of the best in America today -- but I will abandon him just as I would abandon anyone else if they don't do this the way it needs to be done.
