Media, demand Katrina accountability |
|
President Bush noted Tuesday that it's time not to blame, but to figure out how to solve the problems incurred by Katrina. "We're problem solvers," he said.
Um, no, you are not. Problem solvers would have prevented this debacle.
Media, please don't fall for the "don't point fingers, don't politicize this problem, pay attention to the victims and helping people recover, not what caused this" bull.
If terrorists carried out this sort of attack, the evidence is clear -- we would be no more prepared than we are today, which is less prepared than we were for 9/11. Less prepared? We are demonstrably unprepared.
The only way this nation will ever develop a genuine, effective plan of action to deal properly with any disaster -- natural or otherwise -- is to investigate and report every aspect of this story; every individual, every priority that has failed a million people in the Gulf area and our nation at large. Expose those who want to cover up the truth and why. By COLLEEN PATRICK http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/opinion/239722_patrickop.html

1. CNN last night was reading several emails to the network |

commending them for their tough reporting on Katrina and the bu$h response to it. Many of them were welcoming them back to the real world and congratulating them for the wake up to reality.
Everyone could write a few emails to these reporters and networks with words of encouragement to keep the tough stand on why bu$h took so long to react to this catastrophe.
