I think the GOP wants to get rid of FEMA and privatize all of it.
I think they will use this disaster to try and not just seperate it from DHS but to get rid of it all together.

1. I was thinking that myself.
Use the failures of this administration to blame the whole problem on FEMA, thus giving Bushco the reason they need to give the monies to their cronies.

FEMA failure = MIHOP

In Texas they privatize prisons. They want to privatize schools also. There is a mindset that it must be profitable or else it's bad. It's one thing to have a budget but should kids and criminals just be seen as a way to make a buck? To their type, it seems to be yes.
