I guess TANG isn't the magic ingredient in the space program's success after all.

Have you ever seen a Xanthan? Or a Guar? Do they have big gums?

it seems to be an excellent use of shorthand that everyone understands.
besides, i think you've been drinking the 'anti-kool-aid' kool-aid.

10. from someone that uses "jumped the shark"...
i find that somewhat humorous.

hey, don't take me wrong, i got no real beef if everyone stopped using the 'kool-aid' phrase...but face it brother, if kool-aids got to go, so does shark jumping.

13. Sure. Now get people to stop saying "Gen X" and we're halfway
to utopia. (Gen X has always been the phrase that annoyed me. I know, it's not quite the same thing as what you're getting at, but still).

Anyway, I'm just sayin' both are in our collective vocabulary now and there's not much we can do about it.

19. Yeah, I would love to retire Gen X too.
It covers way too much ground. People who listened to Dokken are thrown in with those who listened to Nirvana. What's up with that?

36. haha! True.
Plus, the thing that got all the tv folks' panties in a bunch was the book, Generation X, The author himself had to just give up explaining that he meant it as a term for a mindset, not a timeframe for birthdates.

Oh well. That's just TV for ya. :eyes:

27. Ilk is a pretty insulting word. It's inherently discriminatory.
It's like saying "you and everyone of similar background/disposition/blah". Nothing like labeling a ton of people with a single three-letter word.
