If everyone in NO was on welfare.. who owned and worked at the businesses? |
|
I absolutely HATE those comments about people being on welfare.
Seems to me that city had many businesses or they wouldn't have been able to have a city in the first place if there weren't stores, barber shops, doctor's offices, hospitals, etc.. not to mention all the tourist related jobs.
hmmmmmm Now who worked in all these businesses if everyone was at home on welfare? Did people drive in from other cities every day to work there?
I hate the repuke talking points. :nuke:

3. Anyone who's ever worked in the field of human services will tell you: |

MOST OF THEIR CLIENTS ARE THE WORKING POOR!!!
When I was a caseworker, BY FAR, the majority of my caseload was comprised of people with some degree of employment.
Fuck Ronald Reagan and his "welfare queen" creation. Although there are a few people like that, the vast majority of people on assistance just want to "put food on their fammilies".
