Meanwhile, down at the local Walmart.....
I shop at Walmart. I make no apologies because for the past four and a half years, my "income" has been about $400 A MONTH until I was recently approved for disability.

I put stuff on layaway so I can afford to get some things I need. So I was in layaway late last week, and some of the women employees were spending their break in the layaway area and chatting with the customers.

The talk of Bush in the aftermath of Katrina had their heads spinning. They were quick to insult, quick to criticize and quick to condemn him. Of course, this is in Massachusetts, so there is likely a more liberal bent, but it really IS refreshing. I felt glad that day to be living part of the citizenry which is finally more aware than ever of this illegal regime's gravest errors. All I can say is people should GET out and go to places like Walmart and promote dissent of the government. They're all there, willing to listen NOW, and we need to be the ones who can save their future souls from any more Rovian conspiracies.

1. Walmart acted way quicker than FEMA in this tragedy. I know a lot of
people here tell people not to shop there (There isn't one anywhere near me anyways) but I was very impressed with theier quick response

4. Yah, I know, but they were there - they were TRYING. FEMA will pay for
stopping them and all the others they stopped.

3. I would never slam you for shopping at WM.
Some circumstances force people to spend what little they have in places they can get the best price.

I agree that it's good to go to lots of places, and try to generat conversations that point out the failures of this Admin. HOWEVER, I think being in Mass. makes it much more possible for you than those of us who live in the Red States!

Every once in a while, our local paper publishes an opinion article criticizing Shrub, and there are 2 dozen LTTE's for the next week damning the author and bragging about how GREAT the old Shrub is!

I think we must keep trying, but it's a very long and hard road!
