pages of weather pictures (nothing on human suffering).

Now do the same "Image" search on yahoo, and you get MANY graphic pictures.....

And as for the identifiable individuals, most of us would not want our families on display like that. I will say that were I a victim of Katrina and Bush's pro-active neglect, I would not care if an image of my own corpse were out there as an image of what has been wrought through their heinous inaction.

They are horrific,heart rending and show the complete indignity of being left to die and having your remains neglected in the midst of an incompetent, uncaring response.

There are websites that can have any number of real facts on them, real images. But if the website is sufficiently toxic for some reason or another, it doesn't make a great source.

WhatReallyHappened/Mike Rivero plays a part in a trend of certain sectors of the extreme right to cater to and reach out to some segments of the left. I don't like to refer to such source, because of the part they are playing in a phenomenon that is toxic. Whether what is said has truth in it or not.

I just find it odd that this thread is pretty big, and nobody's actually talking about the pictures. They're just talking about why the pictures aren't there.

And FEMA might not want anyone to see the photos in your link, but one of them, for example, was on the front page of the New York Times. Another was on the front page of USA Today's online edition, so nobody's trying to hide those particular photos.
